My name is Fred Tuck. I am a retired Software Systems Engineer who has long had an interest in renewable energy sources . I have often thought about adding a solar thermal or solar photovoltaic system to my home. Recent activity in the solar market in Atlanta has given me the opportunity to move forward with a plan to add solar electricity to my home.  This site will chronicle my adventure as I design and install the system.  I will post my latest activity each week and document the process of determining the size, location and structure of my system.  Once the system is installed and operating I will monitor my production and usage each month to determine how close reality comes to my predicted cost savings.  Please join me each Monday as I update my progress.
